Flower Pot Handprint Valentine’s Day Craft

Before beginning your handprint flower pots, print our flower pot template.

Gather cardstock in brown, green, and the flower color you prefer, along with markers, a glue stick, and scissors.

Flower Pot Spring Craft Supplies Needed

  • Flower Pot Template
  • Cardstock – green, brown, colors of choice
  • Markers – green, metallic, colors of choice
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick

Handprint Flower Craft Step by Step Directions

Begin by printing the flower pot template, then trim out each piece.

Next, trace the flower pot onto the cardstock color you selected. We used brown, though any shade will work. Trace and cut the stem and leaf pieces from green cardstock as well. To finish this step, trace and cut the heart from your chosen color.

For the flower, trace a handprint onto the cardstock color of your choice and cut it out.

Add decorative details to the flower pot with a marker. Metallic markers are our favorite, but any type of marker can be used.

After that, attach the stem to the upper back portion of the pot with glue.

Place the leaf cutouts on either side of the stem cutout and glue them in place.

At the top open end of the stem cutout, glue on the handprint layout cutout.

Decorate the leaf and stem pieces with a marker. If desired, you can also trace around the flower with a marker.

To finish this cheerful and charming project, glue the heart onto the pot. For an extra-special touch, write a playful message on the pot, such as I Heart You inside the heart.
