Today, we’re sharing some charming little Paper Origami Stars that are perfect for Christmas, New Year’s celebrations, and honestly… any time of year!!! In my opinion, DIY Stars areideal party decorations for New Year’s Eve.
They’d be beautiful placed on a Christmas tree, or you could transform them into a mobile. These paper stars would also make a lovely addition to a greeting card.. there are countless possibilities. ONE DIY. I’d describe this origami design as an EASY Origami Pattern, BUT it does suit someone with a little more confidence. It isn’t a total beginner’s origami project, but it’s ideal for anyone prepared to try the next challenge.

Origami paper IS useful, however, because it is slightly thinner and makes creating neater, more precise creases easier.

Easy Origami Paper Star How To:
As with most of our origami activities, we’re presenting today’s instructions as a video once again – it genuinely makes everything SO MUCH simpler to follow. Pause the video whenever you need extra time for each step, and pay attention to the voice-over for additional guidance and helpful tips! Now, I do feel that making the first star may be slightly challenging, rather like our Origami Christmas Trees too. However, keep going; after you understand the design, you’ll see that creating this paper star means repeating the same fold 4 times. Once the sequence makes sense, you’ll want to create these stars constantly and wherever you are. They’re wonderfully easy and enjoyable. I think a collection of around 8-12 stars in assorted sizes would look fantastic suspended from a mobile in a child’s room. Alternatively, create 3 stars in different sizes, thread them together, and use them as a hanging decoration or garland?
These paper stars are an excellent introduction to the next stage of paper folding. I truly believe this remains an easy origami project, but it’s certainly better suited to someone with a little more confidence or an eagerness to master the next fold! It will definitely help you develop your origami abilities.
