Handprint Chinese New Year Dragon Craft

Materials:

Steps for making the handprint Chinese New Year dragon craft

Get the complimentary Chinese dragon template (You’ll find it at the end of this article).

Color the dragon, then cut it out. Since the dragon has many details, younger children might require assistance with cutting.

Cut strips of bright paper using decorative-edge scissors.

Attach the paper strips to the back of the dragon’s head with glue.

Draw around your child’s hand on red and yellow paper.

After cutting out the handprints, glue them onto black cardstock, alternating between the two colors.

Place the dragon’s head above the handprints and glue it in position.
