Poseable Conversation Hearts

How to craft your Conversation Heart BFFs – Directions
Step 1: Download and print the complimentary heart template sheets required. Page 1 includes ready-to-use hearts, page 2 provides plain hearts for adding your own expressions, and page 3 contains patterns for tracing and painting original hearts, sample expressions, and pre-made “feet”.
Step 2: Snip out the template components you’ll be using (I chose the prepared hearts and feet).
Step 3: Trace the large heart “body” along with (2) small heart “feet” onto a piece of scrap cardboard. Trim them with craft scissors or an X-Acto knife, then attach the pre-designed heart templates with a glue stick.
Step 4: Take (2) pipe cleaners and cut each one two-thirds along its length, making (2) “legs” that measure 2:3 of the original size and 2 “arms” measuring 1:3 of the original size.
Step 5: Bend each pipe cleaner “leg” piece in half, twist it several times, and then curve the bottom to form a tiny “foot”. Use hot glue to attach the pipe cleaner “foot” to the cardboard heart feet (keeping the cardboard heart points directed toward the back).
Step 6: Twist the tips of your pipe cleaner “arms” a few times to form a small ball that becomes the “hands.”
Step 7: Carefully insert the legs and arms into the corrugated cardboard along the bottom and sides. Place a few small drops of hot glue around them to hold them in place while still allowing the arms and legs to move. If desired, attach the blank heart templates to the backs of your conversation hearts to complete them.
Add a personal note to the back of your conversation hearts for an extra-special interactive Valentine, or create the entire set for unlimited posing fun!
