Materials Required for an Alphabet Sensory Bottle
– Transparent corn syrup
– Water
– Hot glue or super glue to secure the bottle (adults only)

Steps for Making an Alphabet Sensory Bottle
1. Place 26 or more letters inside the sensory bottle. We chose a variety of colors.
2. Pour clear corn syrup into the bottle until it is nearly full. Keep around 1 oz of room at the top for water, along with a small air gap so the water and syrup can combine.
3. Pour water into the rest of the bottle, using approximately 1 oz. Be sure to preserve a small amount of space for air.
4. Fasten the lid firmly onto the bottle. For added security, apply hot glue or super glue around the lid so it cannot come off. Always supervise children while they use the sensory bottle.
Gently move the bottle back and forth to combine the water and corn syrup.
A few bubbles may appear, but they should disappear after about a day.
5. When turned over, this sensory bottle has a calming effect as the letters slowly drift upward. Some children may simply enjoy watching the letters. It can also serve as a soothing sensory bottle.
