Watercolor Peacock Crayon Resist Craft
For these watercolor peacocks, gather paper plates, watercolors, a white crayon, blue and yellow cardstock, small googly eyes, scissors, and a glue stick.
Crayon Resist Peacock Craft Supplies Needed

- White crayon
- Cardstock – blue, yellow

Watercolor Peacock Craft Step by Step Directions
Set out one whole paper plate along with a white crayon.
Use the white crayon to sketch circles across the paper plate. Lines or wavy marks can also be added to resemble peacock feathers. Press more firmly while drawing so the pattern appears more clearly.
Once the design is ready, bring out your watercolors and paint the plate in peacock-inspired shades: blues, purples, deep pink, and hints of green and yellow.
Keep adding paint until the entire plate is covered and the crayon design stands out. Allow the artwork to dry fully.
After the paint has dried completely, slice the paper plate into two halves. One plate can create a pair of peacocks.
Then, trim a rectangle from the blue cardstock and curve its top edge. Cut a little triangle from a piece of yellow cardstock as well.
Attach the blue rectangle-shaped peacock body along the straight bottom edge of the paper plate with glue.
To finish your charming peacock craft, stick on the googly eyes and glue the beak into position.
