Transform your turkey into a peacock for Thanksgiving this year! This easy Peacock Turkey Disguise is a vivid, colorful project that requires only a few craft materials. You may already have all the supplies on hand!

We added sequins for a little sparkle on the peacock’s tail feathers, although glitter paper or jewel stickers would work wonderfully too. Paint or paper can also be used.
Materials Required
- Printable peacock turkey patterns – download the pattern at the end of this post
- Paint – (or markers, colored pencils, paint pens, etc) blue, green, and yellow
- Black marker – or black paint pen, for creating the head accents
- Sequins – we chose 1/2″ blue sequins. You could also make blue circles from paper or paint blue circles.

How to Create a Peacock Turkey Disguise
1. Decorate the tail feathers.
Begin by printing our blank turkey disguise template.
Choose a vibrant green color for the turkey’s tail feathers.
Note: if you will not be using paint, complete the head accents before coloring the feathers.
2. Draw the head accent outline.
Print the pattern found at the end of this post.
Trace the head accent pattern onto the upper part of the turkey’s head. We used a black paint pen, though an ordinary black marker would work as well.
Note: if you are skipping paint, complete step #2 before coloring the feathers green (step #1).
3. Add color to the remaining peacock body.
Use yellow for the turkey’s feet and beak, then color the rest of its body a brilliant blue.
4. Decorate the tail feathers.
Trace the teardrop pattern onto yellow paper, then cut out 8 shapes.
Attach the yellow teardrops to the tail feathers with glue.
To finish, glue a blue sequin over every yellow teardrop. Alternatively, paint on blue dots or cut tiny circles from paper.
After the glue dries, your peacock turkey disguise will be complete!
