Cardboard Roll Polar Bear Craft

It’s hard to find a simpler project than this Cardboard Roll Polar Bear Craft. Together, they look incredibly adorable and make such an enjoyable winter activity, while being wonderfully easy to create. Each one can be finished in only a few minutes.

The easiest approach to creating these cardboard roll polar bears is to make several in different sizes. We used standard toilet paper cardboard tubes, along with paper towel rolls for the larger bears. For the medium-sized bears, we compressed one toilet paper-sized roll and placed it inside another.

A collection of these cheerful polar bears would look wonderful in a winter scene or as a playful seasonal decoration. I usually dress my arctic animals in bright scarves, if you happened to notice, but we chose to leave these white and traditional so they would complement the season perfectly.

Easy Cardboard Roll Polar Bear Winter Craft

To create our polar bear craft, you’ll need cardboard rolls, also called toilet paper rolls. You can even use paper towel rolls for this project.

You will additionally need white acrylic paint, white paper, ⅝” and 1” circle paper punches, a fine tip black sharpie, and a glue stick.

Supplies for the Cardboard Roll Polar Bear Craft

• Cardboard rolls – toilet paper and paper towel sizes
• White acrylic paint
• White paper
• Circle paper punches – ⅝” and 1”
• Fine tip black sharpie
• Glue stick

Easy Polar Bear Craft Instructions

Start by collecting cardboard rolls in several sizes.

We included both toilet paper rolls and paper towel rolls. If any of your tubes are already white, that’s even better because it eliminates one step.

To create the medium-sized bears, press one toilet paper roll inside another.

Paint any rolls that are not white at this point, then allow the paint to dry thoroughly.

After the paint has dried fully, use a fine tip black sharpie to sketch uncomplicated polar bear faces. Simply fill in two little circles for the eyes, add a small oval nose, and finish with a connected mouth.

Next, use the ⅝” circle paper punch to cut two circles from white paper.

With the fine tip black sharpie, create a border slightly inside each circle. Then fill in a black circle at the middle of each punched shape. These will become the ears.

At the end, attach the ears to the top of the roll with glue.

For the ears, punch two more circles from white paper, this time using the 1” circle paper punch. Shade the ears the same way as before.

For a bigger bear, draw the face in the same manner but make the features a little larger. We also added a tiny dot in the middle of the eye with a white paint pen.

Glue the ears onto the top, then enjoy this incredibly cute winter polar bear craft. Just remember to make a few more first! They look much sweeter together as a family.
