Cupcake Liner Owl Craft

We’re big fans of fall owl crafts. They can be wonderfully vibrant and created in countless ways. Today, we’re putting together a Cupcake Liner Owl Craft. Sitting on a branch, these owls make an especially enjoyable autumn project.

Cupcake Liner Owl Craft

I recently picked up a fresh package of cupcake liners in assorted colors, so expect plenty more cupcake liner projects coming soon. Does anyone else get really excited about new craft materials? This easy, bright owl project was one of the first crafts we made. It’s also a great reason to bring out the markers.

Fall Owl Cupcake Liner Craft

For this autumn owl project, gather cupcake liners, cardstock in brown and blue, small googly eyes, scissors, and a glue stick.

An assortment of colorful markers will be useful as well. We used standard markers for most of the owls and brought out metallic ones for the darker purple owls.

Owl Cupcake Liner Craft Supplies Needed

  • Cupcake liners – assorted colors
  • Cardstock – brown, blue
  • Markers
  • Googly eyes, small
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick

Fall Owl Craft Step by Step Directions

First, collect blue cardstock for the background along with brown cardstock. Each owl will also require two colorful cupcake liners.

To create the tree branch, cut a strip across the width of the brown cardstock. Remove roughly an inch from one end so it leaves most of the background visible without spanning its entire width.

Position the brown strip so it extends from the side of the background, then glue it down.

Next, press one cupcake liner flat and fold both sides inward to form the wings.

Attach the cupcake liner to the brown cardstock branch. There’s plenty of room for two owls on one branch.

Add the googly eyes afterward. Then, use an orange or yellow marker to draw and fill in the beak.

Decorate the wings with markers in several different shades.

For the final touch, we used a gray marker to draw star-like accents across the blue background of this adorable, easy cupcake liner fall owl craft.
