New Years Slime

This year, my daughter has been completely caught up in the slime craze. That makes this New Year’s Slime recipe the perfect way for us to celebrate the start of a new year.

We’ve created many varieties of slime, including puffy slime and butter slime. There are so many types that I can’t name them all, but my daughter certainly can. Some versions included glitter, while others used different colors of dye. It’s truly incredible how many ways slime can be made.

This New Year’s Slime recipe combines silver glitter glue, baking soda, and contact solution.

We also add extra gold glitter for a festive, sparkling slime that’s ready for the new year!

New Year’s Slime

Supplies needed:

  • 6 oz silver glitter glue
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tbsp gold glitter
  • 1 1/2 tbsp contact solution

Combine the glue and baking soda in a bowl. Stir in the gold glitter, then add the contact solution. Mix thoroughly until the slime begins to thicken.

Using your hands to knead the solution into the slime can also be helpful. If the slime remains too sticky or lacks firmness, add a little more contact solution until the desired consistency is achieved.
