Handprint Fathers Day Grill Card

For the dad who enjoys cooking outdoors, our Handprint Father’s Day Grill Card is created by his favorite little barbecue helper! This project combines a grill, adorable handprints turned into flames, and a heartfelt note inside to make an ideal Father’s Day card. Plus, we’re including a Free Printable Grill Card Template.

For note inspiration to add to the card, try using the word “grill” in a playful pun instead of “really.” Here are a few ideas:

  • You’re “Grill”-y Amazing, Dad!
  • Wishing You a “Grill”-y Wonderful Father’s Day!
  • You’re One “Grill”-y Great Dad!
  • From Your Little Grilling Partner!

You get the idea. These are all adorable messages Dad will surely enjoy! Especially with a few burgers cooking on the grill.

Create a Handprint Grill Card for Father’s Day

To create our Handprint Father’s Day Grill Card, you’ll need our grill card template. Gather the remaining materials: a black marker, scissors, a glue stick, along with light cardstock in red, orange, black, silver, and grey.

Supplies for the Father’s Day Grill Card Craft

  • Grill Card template
  • Light cardstock – red, orange, black, silver, grey, white
  • Black marker
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors

Step-by-Step Handprint Grill Card Directions

Start by downloading our grill template.

Cut out each piece. Keep the smaller circle on the white paper. Trace and cut the larger circle from black paper, the spatula from silver, and the legs from grey. Lightweight cardstock is ideal because it maintains the card’s shape without adding too much weight. Construction paper can also be used, though

Next, attach the white circle to the middle of the black circle with glue.

Fold both circles in half.

After that, use the black marker to draw the slots on the spatula.

Attach the legs to the back of the lower, rounded section of the folded circle.

Then, glue the spatula onto the front of the card.

Next, trace a pair of handprints, using one sheet of red paper and one sheet of orange paper.

Cut both handprints out.

Join the handprints at the thumbs with glue. Afterward, attach them behind the fold of the grill card.

To finish, write your Happy Father’s Day greeting inside the card.

A lovely card for a “grill”-y fantastic dad, made by his favorite little grilling partner!
